If you don’t have a passport, or are traveling with someone who doesn’t, and you want a nice, relaxing Caribbean vacation without leaving the United States, you’re in luck! Dubbed “America’s Paradise,” the U.S. Virgin Islands is the perfect spot for your tropical American vacation. Here are five US Virgin Islands all-inclusive resorts (some are close to being all-inclusive).
Bolongo Bay Beach Resort, St. Thomas
Bolongo Bay was the first all-inclusive resort on the US Virgin Islands, so you know it has to be good. With 100% dining a-la-carte, plus unlimited cocktails, beers and wines, and a cocktail cruise for guests who book stays for five days or more, all you will have to do is plan your activities for your stay. The activities are abundant at this beachfront resort, from coral reef snorkeling, kayaking, scuba diving, sailing to offshore islands aboard their custom-built catamaran, or simply relax by the pool, on the beach or in a hammock. Choose from an ocean view room, beachfront room, or value room—all which include WiFi, air conditioning, cable TV and more.
Divi Carina Bay Beach Resort & Casino, St. Croix
Recently re-opened after undergoing a massive renovation, Divi Carina Bay Beach Resort and Casino is the only adult-only all-inclusive resort on St. Croix beginning in October 2021. Here, you’ll be able to try your luck at the on-site casino, relax by one of the two pools, lounge on the beach, or enjoy water sports. It is important to note that, starting in February 2022, the resort will offer food as part of the inclusive experience, however, they are currently only offering limited food and beverage services due to the pandemic.
The Buccaneer Beach and Golf Resort, St. Croix
While technically not fully all-inclusive, the Buccaneer offers several packages that include resort credits to use towards dining, massages, golf or tennis. What you do get is the use of three beautiful beaches, snorkel equipment, kayaks, fitness equipment, two pools, and a variety of activities. Choose from oceanside suites, beachside doubloons, ocean view rooms, family cottage suites—whatever type of room suits your needs.
Emerald Beach Resort, St. Thomas
Another resort that isn’t technically all-inclusive, their Stay, Dine & Play Rate plan includes a food and beverage credit of twenty-five dollars per day, plus a daily voucher for one hour of non-motorized water sports. Receive a welcome drink, a complimentary Monday night cocktail hour, outdoor pool, a fitness center, and water sports. All rooms have ocean views.
Sea Shore Allure, St. John
Our final resort, which again isn’t actually all-inclusive, Sea Shore Allure will not disappoint, and when you add on one of their exclusive packages, you come pretty darn close to an all-inclusive. Choose from their silver, gold or platinum packages, which include a bottle of champagne upon check-in, grocery provisionaries, dinner vouchers, and additional experiences like massages and cruises. Non-package stays include snorkeling equipment, poolside tiki bar, private beach, poolside cabanas and more. Choose from one, two or three bedroom suites.
